Technology is crucial to my daily life. One of the first things I do when I wake up is unlock my computer to check my emails, look at my to-do list, and figure out the structure for my day. It is best enjoyed with a cup of coffee as well, giving me the energy I need to get my day started.
Below are the different personal devices I use on a daily basis.
Purpose: Main Computer
Brand: Custom Built
Motherboard: ASUS PRIME Z370-A
Processor: Intel Core i7-8700K @ 3.7 GHz
Memory: 64 GB DDR4
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Pro
Drive A: Samsung SSD 850 EVO 250GB (Operating System)
Drive B: Samsung SSD 850 EVO 500GB
Drive C: WDC WD2003FZEX-00SRLA0
Drive D: Samsung SSD 970 EVO 1TB
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080
I refer to this machine as my “Digital Halcyon” or my personal sanctuary. It’s used for both gaming and productivity. I built this in 2018 as a replacement the gaming computer I built back in 2012. It was a pretty sizeable upgrade, though the 1080 wasn’t acquired until the end of that year. Prior to then, it was rocking a 980.
I will add more devices to this list over time. Since I am in the process of reorganizing some things, I do not want to bring it out just to document the hardware specifications. It’s an Acer gaming laptop I had picked up very early 2018.
