My Technology

I figured I would break down the different devices that I use on a daily basis.

Manufacturer: Self-Built
Motherboard: ASUS PRIME Z370-A
CPU: Intel Core i7-8700k @ 4.8GHz
Memory: 64 GB 2666mhz DDR4 (Corsair)
SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 500GB 2.5-Inch SATA III
HDD: WD Black 2TB Performance 7200 RPM
Display A: Dell S2716DG 144hz (2560×1440)
Display B: BenQ GL2706PQ 27-Inch 60hz (2560×1440)
Speakers: Cyber Acoustics CA-3908 Subwoofer Speaker
Headset (Audio): Sennheiser HD555
DAC: FiiO E10K USB DAC and Headphone Amplifier
Headset (Communication): SteelSeries Arctis 7 Lag-Free Wireless Gaming Headset
Webcam: Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920

This is the device I most use on a daily basis. The device itself is for gaming / media and is where I generally spend most of my time. I do remote into another device (WorkPC) for general productivity relating to professional work. I’ll be the first to admit this is probably an overkill setup, but it’s one I enjoy using and it makes both gaming and work enjoyable. Different audio options give me flexibility based on what I am doing. When I am specifically wanting to listen to music, I have a tendency to use the Sennheiser headset, especially at night. Otherwise, I use the speakers and the SteelSeries headset. When streaming, this is the device I am using.

Manufacturer: Self-Built
Motherboard: ASUS P8Z77-V LX
CPU: Intel Core i7-3770K
Memory: 16 GB DDR3
GPU: GeForce GTX 980 4GB
SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 500GB 2.5-Inch SATA III

For the most part this machine doesn’t have any peripherals plugged into it as its accessed over remote desktop on the network. I use this for work-related stuff in order to keep that stuff separate from my personal stuff.

Manufacturer: Acer
Model: Predator Helios 300 Gaming Laptop
CPU: Intel i7-7700HQ
Memory: 16 GB DDR4
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 8 GB
SSD 1: 256 GB Flash Memory Solid State
SSD 2: Samsung 850 EVO 500GB 2.5-Inch SATA III

This is my primary laptop when I go somewhere. I got a great deal on this machine, only actually paying $250 of my own money for it. This was before I built the new gaming computer and was used to replace what I was using for my main work stuff (an old Lenovo laptop). I let friends use this when they come over or I’ll use it when going out somewhere. It’s slightly downclocked to prevent it from overheating. Works great when being pushed to its limits without being too loud or overheating. Named after Megumin from Konosuba due to being an explosive gaming laptop with a TON of red on it.
