“Bulletproof Coffee” is one of those trends that my brother first told me about. It’s one of those cases where you first hear about something, and then suddenly you start to hear about it all over the place. Since I mostly follow a Keto diet, it is something I see pop-up whenever I am researching something online or looking up recipes. As a result, I decided to go ahead and give it a shot. I also figured I would document on my blog the results of the experiment and to decide after a month of doing it whether or not I am going to make it a mainstay of my diet.
The recipe is 8 OZ coffee + 1 tablespoon of grass-fed butter + 1 teaspoon of MCT oil. The amount of MCT oil being used is supposed to increase over time as you start to get used to it, and there are different ratios I see online. Some people use more than one tablespoon per cup. Everyone has their own preferences, this is just how I have decided to do it.
Since a Keto diet is essentially a high fat, moderate protein, and low-carb diet, it works really well with my diet. The extra fat is a good bonus and since my body is supposed to be using fat to produce energy, it should be a relevant energy boost for me in the morning.
I think perhaps once a week I’ll post on here with an update on how its going and the effects that I am noticing. At the end of September I will decide whether or not I want to continue with it, if I want to make it an “every once in a while” thing, or if it just doesn’t make any sense. Next update should be September 6th or 7th depending on what is going on during my week.
Friday at 5PM EST I will be starting my first character in Path of Exile for this league. Not entirely sure what it is that I am going to choose to go with, but I’ll figure something out. I had considered streaming it, but I am not sure if I am going to be doing that. Not sure if anyone would actually want to watch me play the game, especially if they themselves don’t really play the game. I am considering doing something with one of the reworked skills to see if that will be endgame viable, or just following a build on the forums that seems to be quick and viable. I don’t want to just end up playing Sunder or something like that, but want something that you can level the entire way AND use in the endgame.
